Flo

(URGENT - NEEDS A HOME BEEN IN FOSTER FOR JUST
OVER A MONTH WITH LITTLE INTEREST!!)
Hi, my name is Flo, and I'm a
10 month old female hound mix. I am UTD on my vaccines, spayed, and
heart worm negative. I was rescued by the F.A.R.M, from a local shelter
where I was scheduled to be put to sleep, over a month ago. My first
owners turned me in to the shelter when it turned out I wasn't the
little beagle they thought I was! I am definitely a hound of some
sort, but NOT beagle! I am much taller and leaner than a beagle, and
I weigh about 35 - 40 pounds. I love to run and play, and I'm doing
well with the other dogs here at daycare. I am crate trained and housebroken,
and I am learning basic obedience here as well. I do still have some
puppy tendencies, as technically I am still a puppy! I do chew, but
if you provide me with some chew bones, kongs, and rope toys; I should
pass through this typical puppy stage very well.

My foster mom tells me that I'm
very lucky to have come here to BFFE, as its a great place for me
to make friends, socialize with other dogs, and learn how to be a
dog. My first family kept me crated for most of the day, and I was
only let out for potty breaks, so I'm finding this experience to be
tons of fun! I am doing very well in the obedience classes I am taking
here. I am learning to walk nicely on a leash, to sit, and lie down.
I am super smart however, and I am learning very quickly, and I hope
to find my forever home quickly. Nothing about my 10 months of life
so far has been considered normal. I have been to the shelter twice,
both times through no fault of my own. I had very little socialization
in my first home and not much training either. I have come a long
way here at daycare, and am finding this world a fun place to be.
Now if only I had my very own lap to curl up on for lovies my world
would be perfect.
