About Us

Hi, my name is Michelle. My husband, Jake
and I, are the proud parents of three girls ages 12, 4, and 3. In
addition we have many four legged children as
well. As of today the count is five dogs (all rescues), 2 horses,
2 guinea pigs, and several chickens and ducks. So our home is quite
busy most of the time.
In the past I have worked as a veterinary
technician for over 12 years. I am
currently working at the doggie day care, where the dogs for adoption
are
being fostered. I have never enjoyed a job more, my boss is wonderful.
She has
allowed me the use of two to three runs at a time to help these wonderful
dogs
have a safe place to stay until they find their new homes. We are
working with
local shelters and rescues, fostering dogs, working with them, and
loving them
until they find their fur-ever homes. It will be noted in each pets
write up, where he or she came from. We will be using all applications,
adoption policies, and requirements of the rescue/shelter that that
particular dog came from.

We strive very hard to place each pet in a
home that is best suited to its
individual needs. We recognize that each dog's personality is very
different
from every other dog. What one dog may require in order to be safe,
happy, and content; may not be the same as a different dog. We work
regularly with each of the dogs with basic obedience training, while
allowing them to socialize
and interact with a variety of other dogs and people. We work very
hard to place each dog into a home that is fully prepared to meet
the needs of that dog.
We get to know each of our fosters very well so that we can better
understand
their physical needs in finding their forever families. We will only
place a dog into a home that is prepared to meet the needs of each
individual dog, so that both the dog and the family have the easiest
transition possible.
My co workers and I have met many wonderful
and caring individuals during our involvement with fostering dogs.
We have helped to place some truly inspiring dogs that have overcome
some rather unfortunate beginnings, with caring and understanding
families. My coworkers and I, have been fortunate enough to have played
a vital role in the lives of some wonderful dogs along their journeys
to their new families. They
all had their own stories to tell and you can read about many of them
in the success stories sections.

Our goal, with the help of this web site,
is to get my foster's stories out, so
that people who find themselves in a position of looking for a new
fur-kid have
a better understanding of my foster dogs -- their personalities and
needs. All
of us work very hard to place these dogs into homes that we feel fit
the dogs
personality the best, which means that they won't necessarily go to
the first
applicant; they will go to the best applicant. We are all willing
to help with
the transition from our program to your home, in anyway that we can.
We offer training packages, day care, and phone or email support to
help you and your new dog be the happiest you both can be.
