Kylie

(HAS BEEN IN FOSTER FOR OVER 3 MONTHS. NEEDS
A HOME ENVIRONMENT! WOULD MAKE A GREAT AGILITY DOG.)
Hi, my name is Kylie! I am a
super sweet, although fairly energetic, female Australian Kelpie.
I am just under 1 year old, and I am spayed, UTD on vaccines, heart
worm negative, and micro chipped. I get along pretty well with the
other dogs, but I am of herd breeding and not all other dogs appreciate
my play style. I am a very active girl, and I need a home with a fenced
in yard! I love to cuddle on the sofa and get lots of belly rubs too!
I am currently co-fostered by BFFE and my other foster mom, Nancy.
I am young and an active bundle of joy, so I go to doggie daycare
every other week to help burn some energy and give my foster mom a
bit of a break. The benefit of this approach is that I learn appropriate
in house doggie manners, and get an outlet for my fun loving rip roaring
side as well.

I was adopted, but I proved to be too much
for my adopters dog to handle (she was older), and I need some finishing
touches on housebreaking. I do pretty well most of the time, but I
haven't perfected it yet, although I am crate trained and do beautifully
when using this method of training. I would do best in a home with
NO small children as my exuberance for life often proves a bit to
much for them to handle. When I get excited I get a bit bouncy, and
I may accidentally knock a little one over. Once I adjust to my new
family and get some training under my belt that may change though.
I do love children - they just find me a bit intimidating at times.

In addition I need to find a home with no cats.
Again, I am not mean to them and have never hurt one, but I do find
them extremely fun to chase and herd, and they don't appreciate me
much. My first foster mom had cats as well, and she said that they
rarely came out from under the bed when I was around.
I try very hard to be good, and I am absolutely
adorable, but I also am very smart, and when I'm bored I tend to make
my own entertainment. I am not perfect, but I am still young and have
a lot to learn. I tend to act like the big puppy that I am. I only
weigh about 35 pounds so I'm not a big girl.
